Fall Festivities for a Halloween at Home

Fall brings to mind all things cozy. Flannels, hot cocoa, scented candles, and bonfires! All of these things also remind us of home - exactly where we want to be this Halloween! Although traditional trick-or-treating and costume parties might be off the table, you can still find a way to make lasting memories this Halloween with close friends and family from the comfort of home. If you are looking for a some outdoor entertainment inspiration to add to your agenda this Halloween, look no further!

Dressing the Part

Many of our usual Halloween festivities are looking a little bit different in 2020, but that won't keep us from dressing up! This year, we say it’s okay to be dressed up with nowhere to go. Trick-or-treat car parades, virtual parties, socially distanced masked outdoor gatherings, and photo ops are all still an option too! If you’re planning on keeping the party at home, you can still get creative with costumes or go for comfort in costume-inspired Halloween pajamas! (Costume hack: If you plan on stepping out of the house, coordinate your costumes with a matching face covering to complete the look!)

Spooky Ghost Stories

Don't let shorter fall days and cooler nights keep you from enjoying the fresh air. Taking the holiday fun outdoors is easy when you can cozy up next to a bonfire! Get those flames rolling with a fire pit to keep everyone warm and toasty. Our personal favorites for a bigger group gathering are the smoke-free Peak Patio Fire Pit and the handcrafted patina Badlands Fire Pit! Once you’re all gathered ‘round the fire, you can be sure to put the “spooky” in spooky season by sharing some hair-raising ghost stories. If you have little ones, you can also try opting for some not-so-scary Halloween tales!

Trick-or-Treats!

Even if the kids won't be bringing home their earnings from a night of trick-or-treating this year, everyone still needs their sweet tooth satisfied on Halloween. Supplement your fireside conversation with sweet fall treats. Roast up some marshmallows and substitute chocolate bars with your favorite Halloween candy to make candy bar s'mores! Our set of extendable Roasting Sticks comes with eight color-coded grill forks so that everyone at your bonfire can keep track of their own personal roasting stick for the night! If you plan on hosting a socially distanced outdoor gathering, they are perfect for keeping track of your own! Warm up a cauldron of hot cocoa or cider to go along with your treats and let the Halloween fun roll into the evening!
