In celebration of National S'mores Day on August 10th, we made it our mission to seek out amazing s'mores recipes that will wow the crowd at your next outdoor gathering. There is no better way to wrap up the summer than heading outdoors on a weekend camping trip or getting cozy in the backyard with a campfire. Putting a twist on this campfire classic is the perfect addition to quality time spent outside. 

After hunkering down by the fire with countless s'mores-worthy ingredients, it was impossible for us to pick a favorite. So, we composed a master list of delicious fixings for a s'mores dessert board that will surely please anyone's palette. 

Drawing inspiration from the much beloved charcuterie board, a s'mores board is a sweet masterpiece that looks as good as it tastes. There are absolutely no rules when it comes to a spread like this. Our list is simply a guide to the endless combinations of ingredients to pair with that perfectly toasted marshmallow. Let's dig in. 

S'mores Dessert Board 

We don't want to overcomplicate things. S'mores, by nature, don't require much preparation [and neither should your s'mores board]. All you need to do is grab a platter, arrange your ingredients, gather around the fire and get roasting!

Part 1: The Staples

Marshmallows, graham crackers, chocolate bars

 

Part 2: The Foundation 

Try swapping out grahams for Oreos, pretzel thins, Girl Scout cookies, chocolate flavored grahams, chocolate covered grahams, cookies, brownies, stroopwafels, rice krispies treats

 

Part 3: Add-ons

Get creative with flavors and add bacon, fruits, peanut butter cups, cereal, cinnamon, nuts, candy bars, chili powder, chips, ice cream, a variety chocolates, pretzel bits, toffee, coconut, granola

 

Part 4: Spreadables

Add ramekins of caramel sauce, nut butters, chocolate hazelnut spread, marshmallow fluff

 

Instructions:

Gather ingredients, arrange on a board or platter, serve around the fire and create an endless combination of s'mores sandwiches that everyone will love! Enjoy!
